Edmonton Oilers Force Game 7 In The Stanley Cup Finals

Edmonton Oilers Force Game 7 in the Stanley Cup Finals

Panthers defenseman Dmitry Kulikov: "We have one game to go."

Will the Panthers win their first title or will the Oilers win their sixth?

After three straight wins by Connor McDavid's Edmonton Oilers against the Florida Panthers, the 2024 Stanley Cup will be awarded in a winner-take-all Game 7.

The Oilers were looking to become the second team in NHL history to come back from an 0-3 deficit in the Stanley Cup Final. They succeeded in forcing a Game 7 with a 5-1 win in Game 6, but the Panthers are still in a good position to win their first Stanley Cup.

The Panthers have home-ice advantage in Game 7 and have been the better team throughout the playoffs. They will also be looking to avenge their Game 6 loss, which saw them give up five goals in the second period.

The Oilers, on the other hand, will be looking to continue their momentum from Game 6 and win their first Stanley Cup since 1990. They will need to play a strong defensive game and get timely scoring from their top players.

Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals is set for Saturday night at FLA Live Arena in Sunrise, Florida. The puck drops at 8 p.m. ET.
